Well, the wind was blowin' today, and we had planned to go sailfishing. We headed out and as soon as we hit Hawks Channel, that's as far as the guys wanted to go.
So luckily I brought some plan B bait, and we hit some channel humps for a half day. We caught a nice limit of mangroves, with four fish over 20 inches. We also kept a couple of nice channel muttons in the 8-10 lb. range. Throw that in with runners, jacks, grouper, and we kept the rods bent pretty well. When it was time to leave, we had exactly four pilchards left in the well. All in all it was a good half day, and they are eating well for a few meals. Until Next Time....Capt. Jeff
