Fishing Is Busting Loose!!

Well, this past week the fishing really busted loose both oceanside and bayside.
The sailfish tailed for a few days, and we got out during the second half of one day for them. We went 5 for 7 on sails, and saw 12 fish total. It was great since all four guys had never caught a billfish before. The next day we headed out looking for big kings. We found some nice big kings, and were catching some nice 20-30lb. kings about as fast as we could get a pilchard out. While catching these, the guys were also catching some perfect sized bluerunners. It was towards the end of the day, but I had to get at least one out on the kite. It lasted about three minutes on the kite when a giant smoker smashed it. The fish was off and running, and for a few minutes I thought I might have to pull anchor to chase it. They got it to the boat after about a nice twenty minute fight, and it tipped the scale at a nice 58lbs. The rest of the week, we have fished for mainly mangrove and yellowtail snapper. We limited out just about everyday, and sent everyone home with some good dinners. Well, Until Next Time....Capt. Jeff
